aggr ( 6 Commands )
Commands for managing aggregates, displaying aggregate status, and copying aggregates

  • aggr show_space aggr_1 -g
    Displays the size(in GB ) of aggregate "aggr_1" and volumes created in it
  • aggr show_space -g
    Displays the size(in GB ) of all the Aggregates and volumes in each one.
  • aggr status -f
    Lists all the failed Disks
  • aggr status -s
    Lists all the spare disks
  • aggr status aggr_1 -r
    Display the RAID information of aggregate "aggr_1"
  • aggr status aggr_1 -S
    Get information about the space used in Aggregate "aggr_1", by the containing volumes and metadata

disk ( 5 Commands )
Disk Management Commands

  • disk show
    Lists all the assigned disks
  • disk show -a
    Lists all the assigned disks
  • disk show -n
    Lists all the unassigned disks
  • disk show -o netapp1
    Lists all the disks owned by the filer "netapp1". This is useful in a HA pair configuration where some disks are owned by one filer and some are assigned to another.
  • disk show -v
    Lists all the assigned and unassigned disks

priv ( 5 Commands )
View and set the privilege level associated with the current login session. There are two types of levels; "Admin" have the power to execute all the administrative commands and "Advanced", empowers the access to all the dangerous/powerful commands.

  • priv
    View the current privilege level
  • priv set
    Set the login privilege level to default( Admin )
  • priv set -q advanced
    Set the login privilege level to "advanced", and suppress the warning message
  • priv set admin
    Set the login privilege to administrative level
  • priv set advanced
    Set the login privilege level to "advanced", this will provide the access to potentially dangerous commands and should be used carefully.

vol ( 4 Commands )
Commands for managing, moving and copying volumes.There are some commands available to view the status and details of the volumes.

  • vol status
    List all the volumes along with state,"online","offline", etc.., and RAID type of underlying aggregate, type of volume and more..
  • vol status -F
    Get the size information of all the volumes."Volume Guarantee" shows the size of the volume and "Volume Data Footprint" indicates how much data written to the volume.
  • vol status -S
    Get information about the actual used space of all the volumes
  • vol status test_volume
    View the state and status information of the "test_volume" along with its containing aggregate.
